A favorite family tradition, it’s one of Mississippi’s must-see Christmas events. Enjoy nightly lights and seasonal festivities, including Cleveland’s Holiday Open House—all completely free!
Crosstie Arts & Jazz Festival
The third Saturday in April
A beloved Delta tradition and a spring highlight in Mississippi, the Crosstie Arts & Jazz Festival takes place under the grand oaks of the historic Bolivar County Courthouse. This juried fine arts show features hundreds of exhibitors showcasing paintings, sculpture, pottery, textiles, handmade furniture, jewelry, and more from across the Southeast.
Octoberfest
The first Saturday in October
One of Mississippi’s top fall events, Octoberfest lights up downtown Cleveland with music, art, and mouthwatering BBQ along the scenic greenway. The arts market showcases handmade crafts and regional foods, while live concerts—featuring jazz, country, Americana, and soulful R&B—fill the day, culminating in an evening street dance. Over 70 teams compete along the bayou in this national BBQ qualification event, making Octoberfest a true celebration of Delta culture and flavor.
