Long ago, farmers scattered across the Delta would congregate on Cotton Row in downtown Cleveland to bring their finest harvest to market.

Today this Historic Crosstie Shopping District offers a diverse array of specialty shops, antique stores and cafes within the Crosstie District. The recent addition of a walking trail offers picturesque and comfortable seating areas. Visitor information is available at the Cotton Row Bookstore.

The original architecture remains intact, as does the hospitality and casual pace long associated with the Delta.

Outside the city limits of Cleveland in the neighboring communities of Merigold and Mound Bayou you’ll find McCarty Pottery and Peter’s Pottery. These local artisans create their famed pottery out of Mississippi mud.
